State police at Frackville are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday at a Schuylkill County mini mart.

Troopers said about 8:45 p.m. a white man entered the Sunoco Mini Mart, located at 2878 Fairgrounds Road (Route 901), in Butler Township, and pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the attendant. The suspect had the attendant move away from the register. He then removed about $500 from the register.The suspect exited the building and ran south along Route 901.The suspect is described as being between 25-30 years of age, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, thin build and was wearing a tan hood, blue jeans, brown cap, mask and gloves.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
