Thanksgiving events

• Lansford's Feed the People will host a Thanksgiving dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdayat Fellowship Hall at St. John's Church, 1 E. Abbott St. (Tunnel Street entrance) Lansford. A full dinner with all the trimmings and lots of homemade goods will be on the menu. A Fun Zone including water colors, clay and crafts will be available for the children. All are welcomed to this holiday event.

• Thanksgiving dinner will be served at Faith Alive United Church in Bowmanstown on Saturday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and dinner is served from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome to share this dinner with us. No takeouts. Expect all of the special trimmings for any Thanksgiving feast, including desserts. Attendees may come at their convenience during the time frame. Salem United Methodist Church is located at 4019 Main St., Slatedale. All are welcome.• The date for the next free community dinner at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Race Street is Sunday. Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with friends. Free meal includes roasted turkey, potato filling, gravy, corn, green beans, candied sweet potatoes, lettuce with hot bacon dressing, cranberry sauce and salad and more including a large variety of desserts. This meal is for the homeless and those truly in need. It will be a traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings.
