Magisterial District Judge William J. Kissner was certified for service as a member of Pennsylvania's Unified Judicial System after successfully completing continuing legal education coursework.

The educational program is conducted by the Minor Judiciary Education Board and the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts in Harrisburg.The weeklong instructional program is designed to ensure that magisterial district judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques to fairly adjudicate cases and supervise a district court office.This year's program included mental health, ethics, illegal dumping, landlord/tenant and blighted property update and motor vehicle code along with many more updates in the curriculum.
