Anniversary celebration/dinner

Members of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, celebrate the 100th anniversary of their church building on Nov. 20. A special banquet will be held at Dean Anthony's Restaurant, North Street, beginning at 3 p.m. At that time, there will be a service with the Rev. Fred Crawford, delivering the sermon and Pastor Bill Thompson will serve as the reader. The meal will follow. Reservations must be made by this Sunday at the church. You may also call the church office and leave a message. There will be no services at the church on Nov. 19 or Nov. 20.Class luncheonsMembers of the 1964 Jim Thorpe High School will hold their monthly luncheon at the Fogelsville Hotel Wednesday, starting at noon.
