Paul Montemuro addressed the board during public comment of the Penn Forest Township meeting.

"One of my tenants who opened an ice cream shop came in to get permits, and followed all of the rules," Montemuro said. "And he was put through the ringer."His shop is less than 1,000 square feet and he was told he would need a second bathroom. Yet I travel up and down 903 and there are businesses out of compliance. I don't get it."Montemuro listed a number of businesses he felt were noncompliant and asked why someone trying to bring new business into town would be treated so harshly while others seemed to flagrantly ignore code."I agree with you on what you have listed and have questioned some of these myself," said Chairman Warren Reiner. "Would you be willing to present your complaint in writing and we will have it looked into."Montemuro agreed to follow up with a written complaint.The township will be advertising the 2017 budget by mid-November and enacting it at the next meeting.Custom Contracting has essentially completed Phase II of the park.By Friday of this week the board expects all of the last-minute items to be completed."This was a good contractor," said Reiner. "He did a great job. The park looks good."The 2017 budget will include another $1 million for the park.
