Truck catches fire in Mahoning Township

No injuries resulted after a truck caught fire Friday morning in Mahoning Township.

The Mahoning Township Fire Department responded to a report of a fully engulfed truck just after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Blakeslee Boulevard and Mill Road.

Mahoning Township officer Corey Frey said the driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, was traveling along Route 443 and turned north onto Mill Road.

Frey said the driver saw smoke, pulled over, and exited the vehicle.

Outside, people stood by watching as the bright orange, fiery flames engulfed the truck.

No other details were available at this time.
