Man testifies against girlfriend in 2015 slaying

MONTROSE, Pa. (AP) - A man who pleaded guilty earlier in the stabbing death of a friend has testified against his girlfriend in the northeastern Pennsylvania slaying.

Twenty-eight-year-old Sarah Briggs is charged in Susquehanna with murder, robbery and conspiracy in the February 2015 death of 26-year-old Roy Marvin. Twenty-six-year-old Jerry Mast pleaded guilty in December to third-degree murder.The (Scranton) Times-Tribune (http://bit.ly/2eDt8by ) reports that he testified Tuesday that he stabbed Marvin with a folding pocket knife and Briggs then used a kitchen knife she had grabbed from her sister's home earlier to stab Marvin in the chest.A forensic pathologist said the victim had 29 stab wounds and each contributed to his death due to blood loss.
