More than 200 pieces of stained glass from 10 former diocesan churches will be available for sale from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 19at St. Paul Church, Second and Susquehanna streets in South Allentown.

The diocese is sponsoring the sale through Beyer Studio, Philadelphia.Proceeds from the sales are returned to the parishes into which the closed parishes were consolidated or merged, not to the diocese.The glass pieces for sale will range in size from as small as 8 by 11 inches to as large as 36 by 48 inches and many sizes in between.Many of the stained glass panels are sized to fit in a standard residential window with an attached hanger so they can easily be hung.Several of the pieces are windows, without religious art, still in their wooden frames, making a nice architectural salvage piece for a home or office. All of the pieces are plain stained glass without religious depictions.Prices will range from $25 to $700 and are determined by uniqueness, condition and size.The stained glass pieces were created from stained glass windows that were part of:St. Mauritius Church in Ashland, SS. Peter and Paul Church, Lansford, SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Coaldale; St. Mary Church in McAdoo; St. Anthony Church in Cumbola; Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Minersville; St. Joseph Church in Girardville; Sacred Heart Church in Nesquehoning; Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Gordon and St. George Church in ShenandoahFive previous sales were held, and the available glass sold within hours. This year, each buyer will be limited to two stained glass pieces.
