Walker approves Heisler's plan

Walker Township board of supervisors gave the green light to a three-lot subdivision for Heisler's Dairy last week.

The board's approval is contingent upon the state Department of Environmental Protection's approval of the sewage planning. The land will be subdivided as follows: a 115-acre wooded lot, a 31-acre agricultural lot, and a 4-acre residential lot.Supervisor Christine Troxell said the township's planning commission recommended the board grant three waivers, provided they address the engineer's comments. The waivers pertained to lot length-to-width ratio, a plan scale, and the location of a future well.Supervisors announced there is still a vacancy on the township's planning commission.Anyone interested in serving on the commission should send a letter of interest to the township.Supervisors also announced they will have a budget meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 13.
