Former Times News Volleyball Player of the Year Marykate Sherkness has been named an SAAC High Flyer for the week of Oct. 30.

The Susquehanna University senior compiled 55 kills and 11 digs during the week as her team finished with a 3-1 record during the seven-day stretch at the Emory Tournament.During the regular season, the former Marian grad ranked third on Susquehanna with 296 kills. She has tallied 60 digs, 11 assists, and 22 blocks. The team finished the season with a 30-6 overall record.
