Emergency responders were dispatched to a report of a full involved car fire after 3 p.m. Thursday at Center and Chestnut streets in Hometown. The burning car was found pulled off to the side of Mahanoy Avenue, Route 54, not far from Hometown Fire Company. Firefighters from the nearby firehouse quickly extinguished the flames and no injuries were reported. Also responding were Hometown Fire Police and Rush Township Police.
