Two people are being treated for serious symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning in Franklin Township.

Police received a call from a home owner in the 500 block of Vine Street at 9:30 a.m. stating the couple were suffering severe symptoms. Police ordered the couple to evacuate their home.

The two were treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics with at least one being transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center in Allentown.
