October 29, 1949 - Pete Shears scores a pair of touchdowns, and Lansford's defense turns in a strong effort as the Panthers post a 33-0 victory over Saint Clair. Shears opens the scoring with a 2-yard TD run in the first quarter and later reaches the end zone on a 33-yard punt return. Hilmer "Swede" Olson runs 28 yards for a score, and tosses a 9-yard TD pass to Bobby Homes. The winners, coached by Al Klotz, also receive a 1-yard scoring run from Eddie Matta. Defensively, Joe Lutz intercepts a pass and recovers a fumble.
