Dahna E. Phillips, 51, of New Ringgold, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 4:32 p.m. Oct. 4 on the Mahoning Mountain Road in East Penn Township.

State police at Lehighton said she was driving a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 westbound, just north of the intersection with Ben Salem Road, when she failed to negotiate a right curve. The vehicle went off the road and hit an embankment off the north berm of the roadway. Police said after the initial impact, the vehicle struck a tree, causing the vehicle to vault, overturn and come to final rest facing north.Police said Phillips exhibited signs of impairment and intoxication, resulting in her arrest. She was uninjured.The vehicle was towed from the scene. Police were assisted by East Penn Fire Company and Mahoning Valley Ambulance volunteers.
