Retail theft incidents

• Tamaqua Police cited Judith Arlene Allen, 50, of North Railroad Street, Tamaqua, after an incident at the Turkey Hill Minit Mart on Aug. 18.

Allen entered the convenience store before 6 p.m. and opened two packages of candy despite not having any money to pay for them.She initially gave officers her sister's name when they asked for identification and appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic.She was cited for retail theft, providing false identification to law enforcement and public drunkenness.• Charges have been filed against three people who stole from Weis Market in Brodheadsville.Between 8 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on Sept. 26, three people who have yet to be identified entered Weis Market and stole $351.26 worth of groceries and merchandise. The public information release report cites a 20-year-old man from Easton, a 21-year-old woman from Kunkletown, and a 20-year-old woman from Palmerton.Charges for retail theft were filed at the District Court in Pocono Pines.
