One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Towamensing Township, Carbon County Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred just before noon on the 700 block of Fire House Lane. The motorcycle was reportedly involved in a collision with a dump truck.

The rider was treated at the scene by personnel from Lehighton Ambulance before being airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital's Trauma Center.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
