Pleasant Valley School District's board of education approved the hiring of numerous positions throughout the district at Thursday's meeting, pending the receipt of required paperwork.

• Jodi Kresge was approved for a speech position at PVI, with a prorated salary of $45,800, beginning Sept. 19.• Rachel Tinney as a guidance counselor at PVI, with a prorated salary of $50,300, beginning Oct. 14.• Tricia Shann, Matthew Arenas, Lisa Gruschow, and Bernice DeJesus were approved for part-time paraprofessional and substitute paraprofessional positions at PVHS, all with prorated salaries of $10,889.50.• Nicole Kregoloh for a part-time paraprofessional and substitute paraprofessional position at PVI, with a prorated salary of $10,889.50.• Jaclyn Novak, Angela Rivera, Katie Lisk and Rosamaria DeJesus for part-time paraprofessional and substitute paraprofessional positions at PVE, all with prorated salaries of $10,889.50.• Theresa Lusardi was approved for a part-time paraprofessional and substitute secretary position in the district, for an undisclosed daily rate.• Chelsea Buck was approved for a substitute paraprofessional position in the district, with an hourly rate of $10.• Andrew Uhler, guidance counselor at PVI, was approved for a resignation, effective at the end of the workday on Oct. 14.• Jillian Michaels' resignation as the middle school Diversity Club adviser was approved.Jillian Michaels and Stefanie Santiago were approved as co-advisers for the middle school Diversity Club.Sarah Klein was approved as a high school musical assistant.Compensation for the positions was not disclosed.
