State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes investigated by troopers along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, both occurring on Oct. 10.

At 9:03 a.m. a 2012 Freightliner tractor trailer driven by Brian Skolar, 23, of Flanders, New Jersey, struck a 2016 Ford Transit 150 van driven by Sean C. Lockie, 45, of Stroudsburg, at the intersection with Lake Mineola Road. Lockie was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.Troopers cited Skolar for a stop sign violation.The second crash occurred at 1:29 p.m. at the same intersection. Troopers said Justin D. Baker, 32, of Brodheadsville, driving a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled out in front of Margaret J. Cherry, 81, of Bloomfield, New Jersey and a collision occurred. No one was injured.Baker was cited for the crash.
