Andreas Road in West Penn Township was closed to traffic Friday morning after a large tree fell across utility lines and the roadway.

The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. just north of the intersection with Winter Mountain Township workers estimated the nearly 100-year-old tree to weigh in excess of several thousand pounds. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
