Two teenagers were rescued off a rock wall Thursday evening in Mahoning Township.

The operation began just after 6 p.m. when the boys scaled the cliff and realized they could go no further. The site is to the rear of the Carbon Plaza Mall along Route 443.

The two were fearful to climb back down and after an hour of clinging to the wall they summoned help.

Firefighters of the Mahoning Valley fire company set up ladders against the wall to help the two to safety.
