A deer has been blamed for a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Wednesday in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred in the 100 block of Geary Wolfe Road (Route 645), in Pine Grove Township about 7:30 a.m.Troopers said Jodie Brown, 44, of Washington Township was operating a Harley-Davidson bike southbound when he struck a deer that had entered the road in front of him.Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details of the crash were released by troopers.
