An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Tamaqua onOct. 21 at the Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 E. She spoke to the members about the work that goes on behind the scenes at the Schuylkill County Fair.At every meeting, members are welcome to bring arrangements and specimens, which are then judged. Winners in the fall arrangement category were Mary Bridygham, first; Carol Kohn, second; and Georgene Gallagher, third.Bridygham took first place in the specimen category, while second place went to Kohn.The club will celebrate its 170th anniversary with a dinner and program on Oct. 25 at Knepper's Inn. Deadline for reservations will be Oct. 13.Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month.
