Six first-time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Friday by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted:Kelly Ann Alexander,47, of Palmerton, was placed on a driving under the influence charge. She was arrested on March 20 along Fireline Road in Parryville by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.27 BAC.She was assessed $550 for the cost of the program, and her license was suspended for 60 days.Dayton Kerr,37, of Walnutport, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Dec. 5, 2015, along Lower Smith Gap Road in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.He was assessed $650 and his license was suspended for 60 days.George Theodore Dydynsky,64, of Lehighton, was placed for six months on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Dec. 15, 2015, along Delaware Avenue at Mauch Chunk Road in Palmerton by state police at Lehighton. A test result showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.Alec Conner Evans,20, of Palmerton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on March 7 along Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 90 days.Robert Henry Freeman,22, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on March 25 by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 60 days.Alexis Jordan,22, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Feb. 26 along Spruce Hollow Road by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She was assessed $600 and her license was suspended for 60 days.Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
