In honor of national breast cancer awareness month, Pocono Medical Center has announced the start of the county's first-ever Mammothon event for the month of October.

Pocono Medical Center's Bartonsville Healthcare Center located at 600 Commerce Boulevard in Bartonsville will be hosting Mammothon events from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdayand from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20.Every woman will have the opportunity to receive their mammogram via the Bartonsville Healthcare Center's Selenia Dimensions system's Genius 3D Mammography technology to provide the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art results possible in preventive screening.No appointment or prescription is needed.
