Raiders sweep cross country tri-meet

The Tamaqua boys and girls picked up cross country victories against both Pine Grove and Pottsville on Wednesday.

CROSS COUNTRYTamaqua, Pine Grove, at PottsvilleTamaqua swept a Schuylkill League tri-meet at Pottsville.The Blue Raiders scored a 21-40 win over Pine Grove and a 15-50 victory over Pottsville in the boys' meet.The Lady Raiders recorded a 17-47 win over the Tide and a 15-50 victory over the Cardinals.Tamaqua's Brad Clemson earned a first-place finish in the boys' meet with a time of 17:52.
