Confessions begin at 8 a.m., Mass at 8:30 a.m. followed by Adoration and concluding with Midday Prayer and Benediction at noon.GenealogyThe Mondaymeeting of the Palmerton Area Historical Society will feature a talk by Lisa Snell Kern. She will speak on How to Research your Genealogy. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Knight's Gallery (second floor) of the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave.The public is invited to attend without cost or obligation.Vietnam ExhibitThe Palmerton Area Heritage Center, 410 Delaware Ave., is continuing to display Vietnam Era memorabilia loaned by local veterans and photographs loaned by the Lehigh County Historical Society. The center is open, various hours Wednesday through Saturday each week; call 619-824-6954 for a recording listing the times each day. You may try the front door; if it's open someone is there to show you around. There is no admission charge, but donations are gratefully accepted.Blessing of animalsThe congregations of churches of the Palmerton area through CACPAC will join together at 1 p.m. Sunday for a service of the blessing of animals. The service will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church on Fireline Road in Palmerton.Please come and bring your pets as they are an important part of your family.CROP walkThe Palmerton Area Crop Walk will take place at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. CACPAC sponsors this annual event to raise needed funding for Church World Service. The CROP Walk begins at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fireline Road. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the walk steps off immediately following the Blessing of Animals Service and winds it way through Palmerton with the conclusion at First United Church of Christ, Delaware Avenue.Church bazaarHoly Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton will hold its church bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. They will have a Chinese auction, white elephant treasures and jewelry, Christmas items, handcrafted items, a raffle and baked goods. The kitchen will be open.Pace-MakersThe Pace-Makers Association will be in the Palmerton Borough Park from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday.
