A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Sunday after being arrested on a theft charge.

State police at Frackville said John E. Filozof, 51, of Sheppton, was arrested on the charge and arraigned before on-call District Judge David Rossi, of Tremont. He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $10,000 cash bail.Troopers said a 53-year-old Brandonville man reported his Taurus .44 Magnum revolver was stolen from his vehicle while he was camping at Locust Lake State Park in Barnesville.Troopers said Filozof was found to be in possession of the gun at his residence.
