Keer leading Temple in assists

Sarah Keer is part of the reason why Temple's field hockey team is in the midst of a current three-game win streak.

After a slow start, in which the Owls find themselves sitting at 4-8 overall, the Lehighton graduate has been a key asset in the Big East field hockey program's bit of a turnaround.

The two-time Times News Field Hockey Player of the Year (2011, 2012) currently leads the Owls' in assists (four) and shots on goal (38).

Keer scored an assist in a 3-2 win over Sacred Heart and one in a 2-0 win over Holy Cross, which are victories that a part of the win streak. But, she also posted assists in setbacks to Penn State (8-1) and Delaware (5-2).

Unfortunately, Keer hasn't been able to hit the back of the cage for any goals, she has been able to fire an abundance of shots on goal in several games. She has got off eight against Saint Joseph's, six against Georgetown and five against both LaSalle and Monmouth.

The junior forward at Temple has started in three games and seen action in all 12 of the team's games this season thus far. Keer leads the Temple field hockey team in assists
