Lehighton's five-set victory over Jim Thorpe highlighted a stellar night for Times News area volleyball teams, as Marian, Panther Valley, Pleasant Valley and Tamaqua were all victorious.

VOLLEYBALLWeatherly-MarianMarian defeated Weatherly in a Schuylkill League contest, 25-11, 25-6, 25-15.Jasmine Mooney had 11 kills and 18 aces, Gianna Agosti finished with 26 assists and four kills, and Miranda Antiga chipped in with six kills and four aces.For the Wreckers, Emily Zoscin finished with seven service points, while Kim Carter had four service points.Jim Thorpe-LehightonLehighton outlasted Jim Thorpe in five sets, posting a 25-22, 22-25, 25-15, 23-25, 15-13 Schuylkill League victory.The Tribe (10-4 overall, 7-4 league) was led by Katie Higgins with 27 kills, 34 digs and three aces. The boys team nabbed a 20-37 win over Allen and a 27-32 defeat of Dieruff.
