James Thomas Faust, 29, of South Hickory Street, Mount Carmel, was cited by Tamaqua police after he reportedly entered the home of his former girlfriend and left with approximately $5,500 worth of her jewelry.
The victim, who lives in Tamaqua, contacted police on Sept. 5 after she returned home and found that someone had been inside. A number of jewelry items were missing, including rings and earrings. A neighbor told her that Faust had been in the home between 4:30 and 5 p.m. that day.Charges include a felony count of burglary, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass.
