A friend of Holly Grim has confirmed that the police investigation in Ross Township is related to the Lower Macungie woman’s disappearance nearly three years ago.

Erica Seither said Monday, “The troopers have confirmed that Holly’s the reason they’re there, but it is an ongoing investigation so it will take some time.”Police began investigating a death last week at a house at 2368 Woodhaven Drive, off Kunkletown Road in Ross Township.Detectives, forensic units, the Monroe County Coroner’s office and even the Pennsylvania Game Commission were at the scene where neighbors reported seeing investigators digging on the property. At one point, more than 20 police vehicles were on scene from several state police barracks.The house is owned by Michael and Cathy Horvath. Michael Horvath worked at Allen Organ with Grim.It’s not clear if the couple is still at the residence.In addition to the grounds, police were also searching inside the house.Few details were available from police, but the conversation soon turned to talk of if it possibly involved Grim, a Lehigh Valley woman who has been missing since Nov. 22, 2013.Grim was known to area residents because she and her boyfriend were regulars at the Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehighton.She disappeared from her home three years ago after dropping off her son at his bus stop in Lower Macungie.Signs of a struggle were found inside her home, and she was listed as missing-endangered by the state police.Grim has been described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 100 pounds.
