A Virginia man, who previously pleaded guilty for molesting a young boy in 2014, was sentenced last week in Carbon County court.

Gerald Allen Blair, 30, of Midlothian, was sentenced by Judge Joseph J. Matika.Blair pleaded to one count of indecent assault. According to police, Blair inappropriately touched a boy on multiple occasions between 2008 and 2010 when the victim was between 3 and 6 years old.Police said that at the time of the incidents that Blair had been dating the victim's mother, and was often responsible for watching her children while she was at work. The incidents occurred at a home they shared in Weatherly.Police became aware of the allegations after the boy told his father, who reported it in January 2014.Matika sentenced him to serve three to one day less 24 months in the county prison, with credit for 325 days served. With the credit Blair was paroled.
