Weatherly Police have invited the public to attend a town-hall meeting the heroin/opioid addiction epidemic.

The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 18 in the cafeteria of Weatherly Area Middle School.According to a post from the Weatherly Police Department, the meeting will discuss the growing epidemic and how it is affecting Weatherly and surrounding communities.Speakers and agenda for the event are still being finalized. The department said more details will be posted as they become available."Please pass this along so that we can get as many people as possible at the meeting and take the first progressive steps to getting heroin out of Weatherly," police said in their post.Anyone looking for more information can contact Sgt.
