Police were called to the vocational-technical school serving Pleasant Valley School District Monday morning because of something posted on social media.

However officials said at no time was there any threat to students at the school, Monroe Career & Technical Institute.Pocono Township Police Chief Kent Werkheiser said that posts on social media prompted a police response Monday morning. He said that students were not locked down."It was basically kids passing along information that was not substantiated," Werkheiser said.According to school director Carolyn Shegelski, a student who attends MCTI was possibly involved in the posting of something threatening on social media.After visiting the student's home, they determined that the student was not involved with the posting."At this time we feel there is no substantiated threat pertaining to MCTI, but we continue to monitor the situation," Shegelski said in an email.The school is the vocational-technical school for Monroe County, including Pleasant Valley School District.
