A 30-year-old Lehighton man who was struck by a vehicle while walking on Riverview Road in East Penn Township at 7:37

p.m.Wednesday suffered minor injuries, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.Police said he was transported to Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, to be treated for the injuries.Police said he was walking northbound on the southbound shoulder of Riverview Road when a vehicle traveling south swerved slightly off the roadway, striking the man with the passenger-side rearview mirror of the car.Police said the car fled the scene but was later located in the immediate area.Police have identified the driver as a 22-year-old woman from Palmerton.
