Tamaqua police cited Clyde Clayton Bachert, 57, of East Broad Street, Tamaqua, and Gettysburg, with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

On Sept. 9, police were notified that someone had shut off the gas lines at the La Dolce Casa Restaurant on West Broad Street. A review of security cameras shows a large Chevrolet SUV pulling up to the rear of the business at 3:04 a.m. The driver, later identified as Bachert, got out of the SUV, approached the propane tanks, removed the security covers and turned off the valves on all three tanks. He then drove away.Bachert was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, who set bail at $25,000 unsecured.
