Trinity highlights

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., is at 8:30 and 11 a.m., and includes "Harvest Home" observance. This is a time set asidefor thankfulness for theharvest. A donation of a nonperishable food item (such as canned fruit, tuna, jelly, pasta) is requested. All food items will remain at Trinity for distribution via the pantry. Vicar Lauren Heywood presides. Coffeehouse fellowship is at 9:30.Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade is at 9:45 a.m.Senior high youth group, students of grades 9-12, will meet 5-7 p.m. Sunday in the church's youth room. Junior high students in grades 5-8 will meet Sept. 28.Those desiring to become members may meet with the vicar at 1 p.m. Sept. 25. For those desiring to arrange baptism, a meeting with instructional information will take place at noon Oct. 16. Contact the church office to preregister at 610-377-4303.Members of Trinity will participate in the Lehighton CROP Walk Oct. 9 at the Lehigh Canal Park in Weissport.Registration is at 1 p.m., the walk starts at 2. The course is 1-4 miles. Pledge forms are available in the church office. Money received benefits Trinity Food Pantry (25 percent), and Church World Services (75 percent) for relief and development programs. During the 2015 CROP Walk, $741.30 was raised for the pantry.
