Pennsylvania pastor faces child pornography charges

SUNBURY, Pa. (AP) - The pastor of a Baptist church in central Pennsylvania is facing child pornography charges after police say he was found with 10 illegal images on his digital devices.

The (Sunbury) Daily Item (http://bit.ly/2d9j3n9 ) reports that the Rev. Thomas Marker was charged Tuesday with disseminating child pornography, possessing child pornography and criminal use of a communication device.Marker didn't comment on the charges during arraignment but said he suspects he will lose his job as pastor of Montandon Baptist Church and his marriage of 35 years because of the charges. Court documents don't list a defense attorney.Authorities allege that the 58-year-old defendant acknowledged having looked at child pornography on his cellphone, laptop and tablet at his home.A church representative couldn't immediately be reached for comment.---Information from: The Daily Item,
