The Link, a nonprofit suicide awareness and prevention group, is sponsoring a "Link at the Lake Awareness Walk" on Oct. 2 at Mauch Chunk Lake Park, 625 Lentz Trail, Jim Thorpe.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the walk set to start at 10 a.m.Organizers invite the public to "Stop the stigma, start the conversation and make the connection" between those who need help and the services that are available.
