One injured when car hits pole in Nesquehoning

One person was injured Monday morning in a crash along Route 209 in Nesquehoning.

The crash occurred just after 10 a.m. as the operator of a late model Lincoln was traveling south just passing through the intersection with Route 54.

According to reports at the scene, the driver lost control entering the right berm near the entrance to McDonald's.

The car became entangled with a guide wire on a utility pole causing the car to spin around facing north.

The unit struck a parked pickup truck on the lot of KME. One person was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital.

Nesquehoning police are investigating the incident.
