Northern Lehigh School Board, on an 8-0 vote, with Director Mathias Green absent, approved the following items on Monday:

• A stipend of $500 for Andrew Kern for high school website maintenance and working with students during the 2016-17 school year, to be funded by the general fund high school student activities fund; as well as a $1,000 stipend for maintenance and updates of the district website during the 2016-17 school year, to be funded by the superintendent's budget.• A stipend of $500 for Janet Bashore for maintenance and updates of the Peters Elementary website during the 2016-17 school year, to be funded by the Peters Elementary principal's discretionary account.• A stipend of $500 for Kori Dibilio for maintenance and updates of the Slatington Elementary website during the 2016-17 school year, to be funded by the Slatington Elementary principal's discretionary account.• Stephen Shuey as artistic director for the fall play/spring musical for the Northern Lehigh High School Student Theater Group, with the stipend to be $2,000, to be paid from out of the general fund high school student activities fund.• Frank Gnas (school police officer); Paul Leonzi (Peters Elementary School principal); Scott Pyne (Slatington Elementary School principal); Jill Chamberlain (middle school principal); Robert Vlasaty (high school principal) and Tanya Simms (high school assistant principal) to sign summary offense notices for district students in the 2016-17 school year.• Rhonda Frantz to attend the A/CAPA Fall Workshop Nov. 3-4, in Hershey, with the cost of registration, $255; lodging, $256; meals, $10; travel, $81l for a total approximate cost of $602, to be funded from the Business Office Budget.• Karen Nicholas and Alice Leiberman to attend the WIDA 2016 National Conference, Oct. 12-14, in Philadelphia, with the cost of registration, $595; lodging, $483; meals, $91; and travel, $167, for a total approximate cost of about $1,335 each, to be funded from Title III Funds, $1,078; curriculum and instruction budget, $258.• Joseph Tout to attend the University of Pittsburgh: College in High School Conference, Sept. 15-16, in Pittsburgh, with the cost of lodging, $150, and travel, $247, for a total approximate cost of $397, to be funded from the district's curriculum and instruction budget.• Elected Michael Faccinetto, president-elect, (Bethlehem Area School District); David Hutchinson, vice president, (State College Area School District); and Marian Neel, trustee (West Jefferson Hills School District); Michael Faccinetto, trustee (Bethlehem Area School District); William LaCoff, trustee (Owen J. Roberts School District); Kathy Swope, trustee (Lewisburg School District); and Mark Miller, trustee (Centennial School District), as officers for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association, effective Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2017.• Approved the request of the senior high school to close the Class of 2016 account in accordance with the Student Activities Fund guidelines. The account balance is $486, and the funds will be transferred to the Student Council account.
