The Lehigh Carbon Community College Foundation has named Rebecca Walz as executive director. She will begin Sept. 26.

Walz has more than 20 years of experience in development, fundraising, communications and marketing.At LCCC, she will be responsible for increasing support for academic and student success programs, working with corporations, private foundations, government agencies and individuals to support both the short-term and long-term goals of the college.Most recently, she served as director of alumni engagement and the annual fund at Northampton Community College, where she was responsible for a $700,000 annual fund goal. She also served as executive director for the Alumni Board of Directors at NCC.Walz earned her master's degree in communications, broadcast and cable management from Michigan State University and her bachelor's degree in communications from Moorhead State University in Minnesota.
