Tamaqua Mayor Chris Morrison reads a proclamation declaring this Sunday as Back to Church Sunday in the borough of Tamaqua. With Morrison is the Rev. Darryl Kensinger and Ruth Kerr from Trinity UCC and the Sassaman family, Ron, Hunter and Dorothy, from St. John's United Church of Christ. All Tamaqua congregations are welcome to participate in the national observance of Back to Church Sunday, which is being sponsored locally by the Tamaqua Area Faith and Fellowship Network. TAFFN is a group of lay leaders from area congregations with the goal of promoting understanding and cooperation among all organizations doing God's work in the community.
