The Lehighton Youth Wrestling team will host its annual Takedown 5K at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Bowmanstown section of the D&L Trail.

Participants will run or walk the trail for 1½ miles before turning around at the water station and heading back to the finish line. There will be a kids 1-mile Fun Run beginning at 8:30 a.m.Entry fee for kid's run is $15 and includes a T-shirt. Adult registration costs $25 and also includes a T-shirt.Medals will be awarded for first through third in all age groups. Top female and top male will also receive medals. The first three wrestlers to complete the 5K will also be recognized.Funds raised will benefit the Lehighton Youth Wrestling. This event is being sponsored by Lehighton KIA and Brodheadsville Chevrolet.
