A Lansford woman was recently found guilty of harassment following a summary appeal hearing in Carbon County court.
Gayle S. Solt, 48, of 530 E. Bertsch St., Apt. 4, was charged by Lansford police with harassing Jean Huffman, 59, of Apt. 21, of the same address. The citation issued by police indicated the incidents leading to the citation occurred May 3, 6 and 10.Solt was initially found guilty by District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford. She appealed that conviction to the county court.On Aug. 30 Judge Steven R. Serfass held a hearing on the appeal. After hearing testimony, Serfass found Solt guilty. She was ordered to pay a fine and costs totaling $255.50. She has a right to appeal Serfass' decision to the state Superior Court, but must do so within 30 days of the Aug. 30 date.
