A Lehighton woman was recently sentenced to a time-served term on a charge of possession of a controlled substance: oxycodone. She previously pleaded to the charge.

Judge Steven R. Serfass sentenced Pamela Lynn Bowman, 39, to 10 days to one year in jail with credit for 10 days already served.She was arrested by members of the vice unit of the state police at Hazleton at her then residence along North First Street in Lehighton. Troopers found 10 oxycodone tablets in her possession.In exchange for the pleas the district attorney's office agreed to drop two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility.She was also ordered to get a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations for treatment, zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.
