DUI incidents

Police report the following arrests for drinking:

• Michael Grady, 64, of Girardville, is facing charges of public drunkenness after he was found lying motionless in the 300 block of Chestnut Street in Ashland at 9:10 p.m. Sept. 5.State police at Frackville said Grady was intoxicated and had passed out. A 12-pack of Bud Light was found near him.• Pocono Mountain Regional Police have arrested John G. Klement, 55, ofBrodheadsville, with a number of charges relating to driving under the influence.The arrest stems from a response police made to an erratic driver in the area of Route 115 in Blakeslee at 9:14 p.m. July 23.Police said they observed the Hyundai SUV making several traffic violations. Klement was pulled over and failed field sobriety tests.He is facing two counts of driving under the influence of drugs, a general impairment DUI charge and other driving citations.• State police at Lehighton said a 53-year-old man from Parryville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at 8:25 p.m. Aug. 28.Police said they conducted a traffic stop of the man on Pohopoco Drive and found multiple indicators that he was under the influence.The charges are pending blood test results. Police did not release his name.• State police at Lehighton said a traffic stop for speeding resulted in a 47-year-old man being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at 4:58 p.m. Sept. 2 on Route 248 westbound, near the Bowmanstown exit.Police said after the man was stopped for speeding and showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, he was taken to the state police barracks for a breathalyzer test. Police did not release his name.• A 62-year-old Bowmanstown man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 1:20 a.m. Sept. 10 in the 700 block of Fireline Road in the borough.
