Two cited after Tamaqua incident

Two people were cited by Tamaqua police on Aug. 24 after a Minersville man attacked a Tamaqua man.

Officers were on patrol at 10:22 p.m. when they were stopped by a man who said he had been attacked by a man driving a white Pontiac. He provided a license number for the car.The Pontiac was stopped on West Broad Street and the driver identified as Scott Noll, 41, of Lyndon Street, Minersville. Noll said he and the other man "didn't get along because of an ex-girlfriend they had in common." Noll admitted he didn't have a valid driver's license or vehicle insurance.The Pontiac was towed by Hope's Towing. Its owner, Jenifer Gernert of Kaska, was cited for allowing an unauthorized person to drive.Noll was cited for driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and harassment.
