Man gets state prison term for DUI

A Carbon County man was sentenced to a state prison term after previously pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

Marc E. Stoss, 44, of Weissport, was sentenced by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II to serve 100 days to two years in a state correctional institution. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $2,500, and a one-year license suspension. On a driving under suspension-DUI related charge he was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail, concurrent with the DUI count, and pay a fine of $1,000. The term runs concurrent with a state prison term he is currently serving which was imposed in Lehigh County.Stoss was arrested on Oct. 1, 2013, along Canal Street in Weissport. A test showed 0.22 BAC.
