State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of a briefcase and its contents from a vehicle. The incident happened between 2:30 and 3:27 a.m. Aug. 23 at 3219 Ross Road, Ross Township.

The victim reported someone stole the black leather "Hawker" briefcase from a 2007 GMC Canyon. The briefcase contained a Samsung Galaxy tablet, iPhone 5s, several miscellaneous cords, a New Jersey motorcycle title, and the victim's Social Security card and birth certificate.Anyone with information about the incident or items is asked to contact police at 610-681-1850.
